The first retrospective in Rome of paintings by Benvenuto Ferrazzi (1892-1969)

The first retrospective in Rome of paintings by Benvenuto Ferrazzi (1892-1969), a lesser-known exponent of the Scuola Romana, a Rome-based expressionistic art movement which lasted from the late 1920s until the end of world war two.

The 60 paintings and roughly 30 drawings on display document daily Roman life, painted in a style that veers between the macabre and mystical, and are on loan from Rome museums and private collections, including the artist’s archive.
